Tim Black going to France
December 2011

Super ups to my partner Rob Noonan, who's 2009 short "A Bad Day For Tim Black" has just been selected for a special screening of Cork films in France!

The selection also includes Linda Curtin's "Screen Man." Linda, along with "Screen Man" DP Cristian Paradiso and producer Vincenzo Bellone, are part of the "Working Class Heroes" feature film project that Rob and I are busy preparing in advance of principal photography in March 2012.

    "Psychosis" wins Mutant Shorts
    December 2011

We're super psyched that our gang's last piece, "Psychosis," won Cork's 2011 Mutant Short film competition. With it comes an awesome prize of much filmmaking equipment from the Cork Film Centre!

Many thanks to Moray and the gang over at Mutant Space. We've been enjoying their festivals for several years now, and it was a blast to finally participate in it!

    "Banking On Busking" in Cork
Come check out the documentary short "Banking On Busking" at the Pavillion in Cork City on Friday, November 11th at 8pm, as part of the Cork Film Festival.

BOB, on which I worked as producer and editor, will be screened along with films from The Insomniac Film Collaborate and a host of other Cork film makers as part of the Fringe programme on the night.

The particularly impressive thing about "Banking On Busking" being selected is that the street interviews (the bulk of the film) were photographed entirely by first-time directors on the back of a half a dozen or so classes under Stefano Odorico at University College Cork.

Major congrats to Martin, Mark, Deborah and Liam on the film, surely a sign of things to come!

    "Psychosis" at Darklight
I'm stoked to announce that my team's latest film, "Psychosis," has been selected for the Darklight film festival in Dublin on October 20-22nd. Psychosis will be screened in a programme on the final night (Saturday the 22nd) and I understand we'll be doing a Q&A too.

Get the down-low on The Darklight Festival at Darklight.ie – ‘cuz if it’s what the kids are doing, it must be alright!

    Tim Black in Kerry
Congrats to my compadre Rob Noonan who's film "A Bad Day For Tim Black" has been selected for screening at the Kerry Film Festival on November 2nd. I appeared on-screen in the film as an evil "X-Factor" style judge, which was - natch - awesome fun~!
